2024 Newsletter Date of required Pressure Reducing Valve clarification is 04.30.2024 not 08.01.2024

Our 2024 Newsletter read the following regarding the installation of a PRV for all customers. The date AWC is requiring members to have the PRV is April 30th, 2024 not August 1, 2024. Please contact our office directly with any questions you may have on this.

Last year, AWC informed the membership about the standardization of all AWC meter pits.     Specifically,  AWC is removing unsupported PRVs from all meter pits continuing in 2024.    

As a result, AWC is requiring that all members have a working PRV in their home by August 1, 2024.

Question: How do I determine if I need a PRV     installed in my home?

Answer:   We recommend that you contact  a local plumber as they will be able to access your current environment.
