On going Hydrant Flushing -05.27.2022

Animas Water Company has begun a hydrant-flushing program the beginning 05/23/2022 and will continue throughout the summer months.  This operation will take place between 7:00am to 3:00pm Monday through Friday.  This process is to remove mineral and sediment that build up over time and to ensure that our hydrants are in good working order. 

You may notice discolored water and reduced water pressure during this time.  If you experience discolored water, please allow the cold water to run from your faucets for 5 to 10 minutes until it clears. Please check for discoloration particularly prior to using your washing machines and avoid running hot water as mineral sediments can accumulate in your water heater.
